How to play Dryden Vos
Dryden is the leader people keep asking about: some rank him near the top, others say he feels weak. Both are right. He is a dash assassin with a real rotation, and he only looks strong in the hands of a player who knows it. Here's the whole kit with the actual numbers, the perks that change him, and how to play him.

His kit, explained
- Double tap: the dash. Double tap Dryden and he dashes forward, hitting every enemy in his path. This is his main damage tool, not his basic attack. Every dash also lines him up for the next one.
- Skill: Rage (29 second cooldown). Dryden goes into rage for 8 seconds. During rage his dash comes back far faster and hits harder, so one Rage turns into several dashes through the enemy line. Rage is the moment you go in, not something to fire on cooldown.
- Passive: Lethal Strikes. His normal attacks have a 15% chance to apply Bleed to organic units and leaders for 5 seconds, dealing 3% of the target's maximum health every second. Because it scales with max health, bleed is at its best on big organic targets: tanky leaders, Bantha Riders, Wookiee Warriors.
- Weak spot: bleed does nothing to tech units, and his dash commits him forward. Against droid and vehicle decks he is a melee leader with a dash and no passive.
Perks and when they unlock
Perks unlock as the leader levels up and cost Perk Points and Credits. Leaders max out at level 8, and the fifth perk needs level 7, which is why so few players have seen a fully perked leader yet.
| Perk | Unlocks at | What it does | Perk Points | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Level 1 | Increases Movement Speed by 0.3. Gets him into position faster for the first dash. | 1,000 | 6,000 |
| 2 | Level 3 | Increases Attack Power by 7%. Raises everything, dash included. | 3,450 | 10,000 |
| 3 | Level 4 | Reduces Dash cooldown by 10%. More dashes per fight. Stacks with Rage. | 8,500 | 16,000 |
| 4 | Level 5 | Increases dash damage by 15%. Each dash hits harder. | 16,000 | 32,000 |
| 5 | Level 7 | Increases duration by 1 second. A 9 second Rage. The perk that makes him a late-game threat, and why level 7 Drydens feel so different. | 31,750 | 136,000 |
| All five perks | 60,700 | 200,000 | ||
Game plan
- Open with a cheap push, not with Dryden. Send Stormtroopers or Riot Control Stormtroopers first so enemy fire is spread out before he arrives.
- Dash through, not into. Aim the dash so it travels through the enemy backline and leaves Dryden next to their ranged units or leader, not in front of their tank.
- Save Rage for the leader fight. When the enemy leader commits, pop Rage and chain dashes. Eight seconds of fast dashes is enough to delete a squishy leader.
- Back off between Rages. Outside Rage his dash is on a normal cooldown. Pull back to your Hylobon Enforcers and let the bleed tick while you wait.
- Pick on organic decks. Into Rebels, Republic and organic Empire decks his bleed works every fight. Into Separatist droids, play him as a support and let your units carry.
A deck to start with
| Card | Job | Why it is here | |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | Hylobon Enforcers 4 energy, 720 HP, x2 | Unique, frontline | Two tough ranged fighters who protect Dryden while the bleed works. Their 720 HP each soaks the fire he can't. |
![]() | Riot Control Stormtroopers 2 energy, 278 HP, x3 | Cheap screen | Two energy for a melee wall that pulls aggro before Dryden dashes in. |
![]() | Imperial Heavy Gunners 4 energy, 276 HP, x3 | Damage | Focus fire finishes whatever Dryden has bled or dashed through. |
![]() | Rocket Stormtrooper 3 energy, 261 HP | Anti-heavy | Kills Bantha Riders, tanks and turrets from range. Dryden handles the rest. |
![]() | C-14A Stun Grenade 2 energy | Control | Stun the enemy leader, then dash. The cleanest leader kill setup he has. |
![]() | Energy Net 2 energy | Control | Pulls a group together so one dash hits all of them. |
![]() | TIE Fighter 3 energy | Air strike | Clears swarms that would otherwise eat his dash damage. |
This is a starting shell. Swap the Heavy Gunners for an AT-ST if your opponent plays few melee units, or the TIE Fighter for a TIE Bomber at higher energy.
How to beat Dryden Vos
- Play tech. Bleed only works on organic units and leaders. Droids and vehicles take none of it.
- Stun or slow him mid Rage. C-10 Stun Grenade, Pao or Rose Tico stop the chain of dashes cold, and Rage burns while he stands still.
- Don't clump your backline. His dash hits everything in a line. Spread ranged units so one dash can't reach them all.
- Punish the dash. After he dashes deep he is far from his units. Focus him there with your leader and an air strike.
