Draft your way to 5 wins
Draft Match 1 vs 1 hands you random cards and asks you to build a deck on the spot. Card levels are fixed by rarity, so your collection doesn't matter, only your picks and your play. Here's how to get in, how drafting works, what you can win and how to draft a deck that goes 5 and 0.
The short version
- You build a new deck every run by picking from randomly selected cards for the side you choose.
- A run ends at 5 wins or 2 losses, whichever comes first. The game puts it simply: get 5 wins and earn the ultimate reward, but lose 2 times before that and your challenge ends instantly.
- Card levels are fixed by rarity, so a brand new account plays on the same footing as a veteran.
- You can face your own faction. Dark Side against Dark Side, or Light against Light, happens here.
- Challenge Battle costs 100 Crystals per run and pays up to 100 cards with a guaranteed
Unique. Normal Battle is free and pays up to 26 cards. - It doesn't touch your rank. Arcade modes "won't affect your Rating Points."
How to get there
- From the main screen, tap Special Modes: Arcade & Single Player.
- Tap Draft Match 1 vs 1. It sits next to the Arcade 2 vs 2 option.
- Pick your battle type: Challenge Battle for 100 Crystals, or Normal Battle for free.
- Draft your deck, then tap Battle.

How drafting works
- Select a faction to play. Tap Light Side or Dark Side, then Confirm Selection. Every card you're offered comes from that side.
- Select a card to use. The game shows you two random cards at a time. Tap the one you want, or tap the blue i to read a card's stats first.
- Repeat until your deck is full: a leader plus 7 cards. Your picks fill the bar along the bottom, and the Average Energy Cost updates as you go.
- Battle. Your drafted deck is locked in for the whole run. Tap Draft Deck on the battle screen any time to look at it.

Eras get mixed. Draft offers any card from your side, so a First Order leader can end up with Separatist droids, like the B1 Battle Droids in the deck above. Plan around your leader's own skill and Leadership rather than era bonuses. Two cards never show up in Draft: 40th Anniversary Vader and 40th Anniversary Luke.
Challenge Battle vs Normal Battle
| Challenge Battle | Normal Battle | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | 100 Crystals per run | Free, as many runs as you like |
| Top prize at 5 wins | 100 cards: at least 1 | 26 cards: at least 3 |
| Guaranteed reward | 28 cards even with 0 wins | None. With 0 wins you get nothing |
| Best for | A shot at a Unique once you know how to draft | Learning to draft and steady free cards |
Rewards depend on how many games you win before the run ends. "Cards" is the total number of cards you get, and "Guaranteed" is how many of those are at least that rarity.

The battle screen

- Left side: the reward for ending your run at 1 to 5 wins.
- Until challenge success: Victory 0 / 5 counts your wins. Defeat has two boxes, and the second loss ends the run.
- Draft Deck shows the deck you drafted. Battle finds your next opponent.
- Surrender ends a run early. The game says you'll still get the reward for your current record, so a 3 and 1 run that you surrender still pays the 3-win reward.

Drafting tips
- Aim for an average cost around 3 to 3.5. Too many 5 and 7 cost cards and you get run over early. The Average Energy Cost on the draft screen keeps you honest.
- Get the basics before the flashy picks: one tank or front liner, one splash card for groups, and one answer to air units. A deck missing one of those loses to it.
- Take the strongest card early, then fill holes. When both options are close, pick the one your deck doesn't have yet.
- Value turrets and cheap swarms. They hold a lane on their own while you spend energy elsewhere.
- Plan around your leader. Read your leader's skill and Leadership and draft cards that use them. Our leader guides cover the best ones.
- Expect mirrors. You can face your own faction, so know how to beat your own side's best leaders. Check the matchup chart.
- Learn on Normal, cash in on Challenge. Run free Normal drafts until you win consistently, then spend Crystals on Challenge runs.
