Win the 2v2 Arcade

2v2 is live in Reborn through the Arcade. Team up with a guildmate or a random partner, play up to 7 games, and win 5 to take the top prize. Here's where to find it, what every reward is worth, how the battle screen works and how to queue with your guild.

The short version

  • A run is up to 7 games. It ends when you reach 5 wins or take your 2nd loss, whichever comes first.
  • Challenge Battle is the big prize: at 5 wins, 100 cards including a guaranteed Unique card. Each run costs 100 Crystals.
  • Normal Battle is free and you can run it again as often as you like, with a smaller prize: Common, Rare and Epic cards.
  • It doesn't touch your rank. The game says it plainly: Arcade modes "won't affect your Rating Points."
  • Card levels are set by rarity, not by your upgrades, so a new account can win here.

How to get there

  1. From the main screen, tap Special Modes: Arcade & Single Player.
  2. Tap Arcade 2 vs 2. This is where the 2v2 modes live.
  3. Pick your battle type: Challenge Battle or Normal Battle. See the comparison below.
  4. Check your deck, then tap Battle to queue with a random partner, or Create Team to queue with a guildmate.

Rewards by wins

Your reward depends on how many games you win before the run ends. "Cards" is the total number of cards you get. "Guaranteed" is how many of those are at least that rarity.

Is the top prize a Legendary? No. The solid orange card in the Challenge Battle Max Reward is the game's Unique icon. Legendary uses the gold outlined icon, and the game's reward tables list 1 Unique for 5 wins. We also checked the server's replies for three real 5-win Normal Battle runs: each paid exactly 26 cards, 18 Common, 5 Rare and 3 Epic, matching the table above.
The big jump is at 4 wins in Challenge Battle, from 52 to 90 cards. If you're sitting at 3 wins and 1 loss, play carefully: one more win is worth more than the first three combined.

Reading the battle screen

Normal Battle screen with rewards for 1 to 5 victories on the left, and on the right Victory 0 of 5, two defeat boxes, and View Deck, Battle and Create Team buttons

The left side: what you can win

  • Victory 1 to 5: each row is the reward if your run ends at that many wins.
  • Card is the total card count, and Guaranteed Rarity is the minimum number of Rare (blue), Epic (purple) or better cards in it.

The right side: your run

  • Until challenge success: Victory 0 / 5 counts your wins, and the bar fills as you go.
  • Defeat has two boxes. Each loss fills one, and the second loss ends your run (shown as Challenge Complete).
  • The timer at the top right shows how long the mode is open.
  • View Deck checks the deck you're bringing. The mode uses the deck you selected on your Deck menu.
  • Battle queues you with a random partner. Create Team queues with a guildmate (see below).
After a win: Victory 1 of 5, the reward you have locked in now, and the reward at 2 wins
After each game you see what you've locked in and what the next win is worth.

Play rules

  1. Two players team up against another team. You can be teamed with a player from the other faction, and matched against your own faction.
  2. You fight with the deck selected on your Deck menu, so set it before you queue.
  3. Card levels depend on rarity, not on your upgrades. Everyone's cards are set to the same level for their rarity, so skill and deck choices decide games.
  4. Support cards deal 50% less damage to enemy turrets and the Shield Generator. Win your lanes with units, and don't count on spells to finish towers.

Queue with your guild, or solo

  1. Tap Create Team on the battle screen. This posts an Arcade 2 vs 2 queue in your guild chat.
  2. A guildmate taps your post to join. Once they're in, queue for the battle together.
  3. No guildmate around, or rather play solo? Tap Battle and the game pairs you with another player.

Keep queuing until your run ends: 5 wins, 7 games played (your 2nd loss), or Surrender, which ends the run early. Then collect your reward and start a new run: Normal Battle is free every time, and each Challenge Battle run costs 100 Crystals.

Need a partner? Join the JEDI guild in game and look for Arcade 2 vs 2 posts in guild chat, or find a teammate in the SWFAR Discord and the SWFAR Facebook group's Monday Looking for Players thread.

Tips to reach 5 wins

  • Bring a duo you've practiced with. Use free Normal Battles to learn each other's decks, then spend your Challenge run together.
  • Cover each other's weak spots. If your partner runs a swarm deck, bring splash or a tank. Our 2v2 team play guide covers roles and leader pairs.
  • Know the matchup before you queue. Check who's favored on the matchup chart.
  • Play around the Support rule. With spells only doing half damage to towers, decks that push with units take turrets faster.
  • Steal a deck that's winning. Browse the deck gallery for decks other players are upvoting.
Prefer solo? Draft Match 1 vs 1 is the other Arcade mode: build a deck from random cards every run. See the Draft Match guide, go big with expensive cards in the Energy Boost guide, or chase a Legendary in the All Out War guide.
