Luke and Ben Frontline
A tough, forgiving deck for learning the game. Wookiee Warrior and Luke hold the lane, Rebel Troopers and the Grenadier shoot from behind, and Ben Kenobi steals the enemy's best organic unit. If Ben goes down, Luke gets stronger and harder to kill, so even losing Ben helps you.
Luke SkywalkerThe deck
Era set bonus: Rebel Alliance: 7 of 8 cards, so your turrets take 9% less damage. X values grow with your leader's level and perks.
How it wins
Win fights in the middle with a strong front line, then push behind the Wookiee into a turret. Ben converts their key unit at the worst moment for them.
Strengths
- Very forgiving: two big tanks (Wookiee, Ben) plus a sturdy leader
- Ben's mind trick turns the enemy's own push against them
- Turrets take 9% less damage from the Rebel set bonus
Weaknesses
- Tech units can't be mind tricked, so droid decks blunt Ben
- Ben costs 5, so a badly timed Ben leaves you short
- No real long-range turret threat; you have to walk in
Card by card
| Card | Cost | Job | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | Cheap damage | Four shooters for 2 energy. Cycle card and back line. | |
| 2 | Close-range burn | Continuous fire damage up close. Drop them right on top of a melee push or on a tank. | |
| 2 | Burst buff | Use when Luke and your army hit the enemy at the same time. | |
| 3 | Front line | 1,291 health. Walks straight and soaks turret and unit fire. Lead with it. | |
| 3 | Splash | Grenades wipe clumps. Keep it behind the Wookiee. | |
| 3 | Air strike | Strafes a straight line. Use it on squads walking down a lane in a line, or to finish a turret. | |
| 5 | Unique, tank and thief | 1,677 health and a mind trick that turns enemy organic units. Best dropped into their biggest organic push. |
Game plan
First minute
- Play Wookiee Warrior or Rebel Troopers first, never Ben.
- Hold Luke near your turret while you see what the enemy brings.
- Save 5 energy for Ben once they commit a big organic push.
Win the fights
- Wookiee in front, Grenadier and Troopers behind, Luke beside the Wookiee.
- When they push with organics, drop Ben into the middle of it. Their own units now fight for you.
- Use Lightsaber Slash when several enemies are in front of Luke, not on a single trooper.
2x energy and Sudden Death
- 2x energy: Wookiee plus Grenadier every push, X-Wing to finish turrets.
- If Ben dies, Luke's Trust Your Feelings bonus kicks in. Push immediately while it lasts.
- Sudden Death: X-Wing can tip a nearly dead turret over the edge.
Signature combos
Wall and Shell
Wookiee Warrior + Rebel Grenadier
Tank in front, splash behind. Wins most mid-lane fights against squads.
Mind Trick Swing
Ben Kenobi into their push + Hyper-Adrenal
Their units turn, your buffed army collapses on what's left.
Line Clear
Flamethrowers on top + X-Wing down the lane
Burns the front, strafes the back. Erases a full squad push.
Matchups
| Against | What to do |
|---|---|
| Droid decks (Grievous, Sentry Droid) | Ben can't convert tech. Lean on the Wookiee and X-Wing, and keep Ben as a tank. |
| Swarm decks | Grenadier and Flamethrowers clear them. Don't waste the X-Wing on two or three units. |
| Leader divers (Vader, Kylo, Grievous) | Keep Luke next to the Wookiee and let the Flamethrowers burn the diver. |
| Splash decks | Spread the Troopers out; don't stack them behind the Grenadier. |
Swaps: Twi'lek Flamethrowers to Talz Marauders for a sturdier cheap card.
Mistakes to avoid
- Playing Ben into an empty lane. He's worth most when there's something to mind trick.
- Spending X-Wing on a lone unit your turret would kill anyway.
- Forgetting to push after Ben dies, when Luke's bonus is active.
